week 19

What is happening to my baby?

Your baby continues to grow and mature but specific body function is beginning to take place. The baby’s hair is growing, kidney producing urine and if it is a baby girl there are already even eggs in her ovaries! At this stage your baby is 13 – 15cm in length and approximately weighs 200gm
What is happening to me?

Your body is changing and some pregnancy changes such as gaining weight, swelling of the ankles and hands, skin changes such as pigmentation and stretch marks can be overwhelming to some women. You should embrace this changes as part and parcel of pregnancy and the coming motherhood. There are a lot of women out there who look gorgeous even though heavily pregnant. By having a positive body image you will not only feel much better about yourself but may also look better.
What should I plan this week?
  • Pamper yourself. Plan with your girl friends to go out and have fun – either watch movies, shopping or head for the spa
  • Shop for gorgeous maternity clothes! Just make sure you spend within your limit and do not blow your budget. Get clothes that are beautiful but practical.
  • Go for a makeover then take photo shoots of yourself to remind yourself how beautiful you look like during pregnancy
