Celebrate Earth Day

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.

— Native American Proverb

Imagine there is no water in the world! Imagine all the beautiful creatures on the planet have disappeared! Imagine the planet is no longer safe to stay and there is nothing much we could do to protect our environment.  The first Earth day was created in year 1970 with the theme Give Earth a Chance, to emphasis the importance of mother earth in our daily lives and how we could live an environmental friendly lifestyle that contribute further the quality of our water, air and environment.

Earth day is about recycling and saving resources.   As parents, we could teach our children to love the nature and the environment and inspire them to love and respect the earth and its resources.  We could find creative ways to encourage our children to make mother Earth a better place to stay today!

·      Bring  recycle bag when you go shopping

·    Buy food that comes with minimum packaging.  Educate your children that excess packaging is not necessary

·      Buy in bulk instead of individual packed items with excess packaging.

·      Turn of electricity when not in use

·      Have a litter-free neighbourhood- help pick up trash when go for walks with your little ones.

·       Get a new plant to add some green to your home.

·       Change of lifestyle- Take a shorter shower instead of long bath to save water. Turn off the water when brushing your teeth.

·      When looking for gifts, check out eco-friendly items such as children’s books, toys or puzzles that made from 100% recycled materials

·     Teach the children about nature and the environment and inspire them to love and respect the earth and its resources.
