From the Editor : Happy Chinese New Year & Welcome to Our Preschooler Edition

Hi Everyone!

Happy Chinese New Year! Hope you are welcoming the coming year of the horse with great anticipation. To those celebrating with your loved ones, have a meaningful festivities and to the rest of you, do enjoy your long break and be safe on the road if you are travelling.

So while we take some time off for the holidays, why not check out our latest newsletter and also enhance your knowledge on parenting and your child’s development? In this issue we will be focusing on all things preschooler! That’s right, that interesting age when they are no longer a baby or a toddler but not yet a kid. So we have some interesting articles for you in this issue. First, we shall look at the best ways for you to get active with your preschooler. That’s right, its time to put away those iPads and video games and get physical and the best part? You can get fit too! Next we look at the problem that has all moms and dads worried about; children and their sweet tooth. Most parents fear the sugar high and the subsequent impending crash that their child will face when eating their favourite candy. But deny them those delectable treats and they may throw a temper tantrum that most parents will not have the energy to handle. Well fear not moms and dads as we have some tips on how you can actually indulge in your child’s sweet tooth in a healthy manner, thus giving you the best of both worlds.

In this issue we will also be sharing some medical expert opinion on common childhood allergies and what you can do to prevent and manage the situation. And last but not least, we will also take a look at your preschooler’s mental and behavioral development by sharing with you some tips to get your children to lose winningly or in other words to take failure well and grow from it.
